How Strong Is Your Call To Action?

Getting the click is the most important thing in PPC. To do it right, you need a strong call to action? Don’t know what that is? Stay tuned.

A call to action is simply your asking the reader to click on the link. You essentially make it irresistible enough that they want to click. It’s almost like arm twisting, only it doesn’t hurt.

A good call to action gives the reader an incentive to click. Something like “Free download – click here!” You tell the reader exactly what to do. Don’t leave it to their imagination. If you do, they won’t do what you want. You have to tell them.

If you want the reader to opt in to your e-zine, say “Subscribe Now” or something similar. Whatever you want the reader to do should be stated outright. That’s a strong call to action.

Besides just telling the reader what you want them to do after reading your ad, give them a reason to do it. In other words, offer them something if they do. A free e-book, a huge discount, “no risk”, whatever, it’s got to be worth it to them to get the click.

And you also want to create urgency. You’ve got to make the reader believe that clicking on your ad is the most important thing to do right now. It can’t wait.

Ask yourself one question, “How strong is my call to action?”
