Perhaps the most important aspect of your landing page or pay per click ad content is the call the action. This will either make or break your ad or landing page. Sure, other elements are important (optimization, photo placement, design, etc.), but it’s your call to action that gets the conversion. If it fails then everything else you do is a fail.

A good call to action, whether it appears in your pay per click advertising content or on your landing page, focuses on getting your reader to take a desired action. Usually, that action is a click. You want the reader to click your ad and go to your landing page. You want visitors on your landing page to click the “Buy Now” button or make a purchase. Only a strong call to action can ensure that your visitor/reader do what you want them to do.
So what makes a good call to action? First, it prompts the reader to take action. Manipulation doesn’t work. Usually, a straightforward approach works best. “Click here”, “Purchase the 100-pound wingy dingy with a kung fu grip!”, or “Yes! I’d like to have a cool new toy” Whatever you use as a call to action, it must prompt an action. Otherwise, your wasting your reader’s time.
