Great news for Google AdSense publishers:
Google is giving you the ability to manually control which ads appear on your website. The Ad Review Center will ask you why don’t want the ad displayed on your website and whatever reason you give will be passed on to the advertiser. The process is supposed to help improve the quality of the ads and ensure that publishers are able to publish ads that are appropriate for their website’s targeted visitors.
This is a good move. Before, you could stop certain ads from appearing on your website, but the process was a little difficult to figure out for new publishers. Google has simplified the process and made it easier so I think that this will happen more often. The downside, Google says, is that too much rejection will lead to lower ad prices and publishers will make less money. That may be true, but as more advertisers go online and start using Google AdWords and other pay per click programs, the demand will push click prices higher. So it will all even out in the long run. Meanwhile, if you are advertiser, you can welcome the publisher feedback because it is coming.
