Google AdWords Editor: A Tool For Your Offline Use

One more Google AdWords tool you might want to consider for helping you manage your AdWords campaigns is the AdWords Editor.

This is a tool you can download to your hard drive and edit your AdWords ads right on your desktop. You can make bulk changes to your keywords and other ad and campaign management practices and then upload them to your account in hardly any time at all.

The AdWords Editor tool comes in handy if you want to limit the number of people who have access to your Google AdWords account, but want to include more people in on the decision making and review processes. Let’s suppose, for instance, that your VP of Marketing wants to make all advertising expense approvals before they start, but you have an AdWords manager who does the actual work and data approval inside of Google AdWords. The VP may not want to have to log in to look at your campaign specifics. You can download them, slip them into a PowerPoint presentation, e-mail them to the boss, and then upload them once they’ve been approved. If you have several people who approve at different levels – say one person approves keywords, someone else approves the budget, and another individual approves the actual writing of the ad – then you can easily make your changes offline and re-upload them once everyone has approved your Google AdWords pay per click campaign specifics.
