I’ve said it before, an essential marketing tool for any webmaster is Google Analytics. Well, the Google Analytics Blog has announced a 6-week training session on Google Analytics. If you’ve never used Google Analytics, or you have but you want to increase your knowledge of the tool and the overall performance of you pay per click advertising campaigns, then you should sign up for this course. It looks real promising.

The course is being given by ROI Revolution and costs $697. That’s a pretty penny and will likely price some people out of taking the class, but they do provide a good list of benefits to everyone who takes the course. If you have $697 to spare then this might be a good course to take.

Google Analytics is useful for several necessary functions related to pay per click advertising:

  • Configuring goals and conversion events
  • Tracking PPC campaigns
  • Tracking email and banner campaigns
  • Measuring visitor trends on your site

If you want to learn how to use Google Analytics more effectively then it helps to learn it from the masters. Learn what they do and how they do it. At the end of each training session you can ask questions, which makes for a very effective use of your time and you can learn interactively from the people who use the tool every day, day in and day out. What can be more powerful than that?

Of course, you could just learn it all by trial and error like most of the rest of us did.
