If you’ve been running pay per click advertising campaigns for very long you may be surprised to find out that you can expand your keyword list beyond its current range. You may even wonder how that would benefit you. If you were thinking that your keyword list is as big as it can get or that it is as big as it can be and still benefit you then you might be in for a shock to find out that this isn’t true.
By expanding your keyword list you can actually create new pay per click opportunities. Perhaps you have a landing page that is doing very well. It is optimized great for the keywords that it is targeting, receives a high CTR, and enjoys a super high conversion rate. But have you done the research to see if there are similar and related keywords that you could target? If not then I’d encourage you to do so.
Sometimes, you can expand your keyword list, build separate landing pages for those new keywords, and realize even better returns. That’s why it is important to always be looking for new opportunities.
MSN adCenter has announced an add-on for Excel that will help you identify new keywords to add to your current list. And Google has a web-based keyword research tool that handles that for you as well.
If you want more pay per click opportunities than you have now then you should be performing ongoing keyword research and looking for ways to expand your keyword list.
