Your Landing Page Storyboard

One way to ensure a successful landing page for your pay per click advertising campaign is to use a storyboard. Just like the old movie-making storyboards, where you design the frames ahead of time and shoot according to a schedule that allows you to stick to your storyboard without necessarily shooting scenes in chronological order, a storyboard can help you stay on track and ensure that you get the proper elements in their place.
It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just take a pencil and piece of paper and draw your web page as a square on the page. Break your landing page up into sections by drawing lines and labeling them. If you know you want a photo at the certain place, draw a square with an X running from corner to corner. Fill the text in around it. Draw your headlines with a double line and the h1 or h2 tag written in. The symbols don’t matter as long as you know what they represent, but make it easy to follow.
I like storyboarding landing pages because it allows me to go back to a previous version after doing some testing and using old elements again if I need to.
