So…I left a comment last week about this book being from 2005 so I wondered how much value it brings in today’s paid search climate. Just curious why my comment was deleted?

Jeremy, since I don’t have your comment available to me I can’t speak to why it was deleted. I don’t remember seeing any comments of the nature that you present. But it’s possible that your comment resembled spam in some way or was perceived as not having the value that we are looking for in our comments. Possible reasons for deleting comments include:

  • Too many links
  • Overtly self promotional
  • Off topic
  • Links lead to spam sites or MFA sites
  • Links lead to sites we know are scraper sites

I’m not saying your comment was guilty of any of these, but if it looked as if you attempted to comment on this blog with a comment that appeared to violate any of these quality guidelines then it is likely it was deleted for that reason. If a comment was deleted in error then we apologize, but we do try to police our comments so that known spammers, scrapers, and self promoters who offer no real value are not taking up space that someone else rightly deserves. Thanks for reading us.
