Google AdWords has a relatively new feature that allows you to opt in or out of showing your pay per click ads on certain device platforms. You can choose to show your ads on PC and laptops or mobile phones or both. It’s your option.

I’d recommend deselecting iPhones and other mobile devices unless you know your target audience specifically browses the Web using those devices. Otherwise, you could be wasting precious ad spend on ads on mobile devices that will never get clicked.
This selection includes iPhones, mobile phones with Internet browser capabilities, Blackberries, and other PDAs. Those are cool gadget tools, but unless your target market is likely to be browsing the net using those tools then you don’t want your ads showing up there. If you are running mobile only advertising then you’ll probably want to opt out of the PC and laptop option.
It’s important to understand, though, that mobile advertising is different than normal pay per click advertising. Your mobile ads will have their own specific mobile landing page. If you don’t have a mobile landing page and you are running a pay per click advertising campaign then you should turn that feature off. If you want to run your ads on mobile phones and laptops/PCs then create a mobile landing page and track your activity for that landing page separately as a segmentation strategy for your campaign.
