MSN adCenter’s ‘Compare With’ Feature

Microsoft adCenter’s “Compare With” feature is a useful benefit. If you want to compare two periods of time and your paid advertising stats for those two periods then you can use this feature to help you see which period of time is benefiting you the most.

Let’s say you want to figure out how your promotional campaign is going. If you want to measure which week is producing the most revenue, costing the most money, etc. then enter the dates you want to compare and you’ll get graphs that give you a good mental picture of your campaign performances by date. You’ll be able to see if one week is trending upward and another week is trending downward.

Be sure to establish your goals so that you’ll have something to measure your success by. If you don’t know what you are trying to achieve then seeing hills and valleys on a chart won’t help you much. You need to see those hills and valleys in relation to what you want to get accomplished. That’s when they’ll make the most sense. But I see great application of this tool.
