MSN adCenter’s Language And Market Settings

Did you know you can select a language and market for MSN adCenter so that you can ensure your PPC ads are distributed to the right target base? This is different than geo-targeting your ads, which you do when you write your ad copy. When you select the right language and market in the user interface part of MSN adCenter, you are telling adCenter to run your ads on a particular language-based search engine.

For instance, if you want to run ads in Canada, MSN has a Canadian search engine (http://www.msn.ca/ or www.live.ca). You can select the English language version or the French language version, but whichever one you choose you should know that your ads will run on that search engine and be shown to searchers who search for the keywords that you bid on.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Select a campaign
  2. Click Create Ad Group on the Select Ad Group page
  3. Under Target Your Customers, select a language and market
  4. Choose your other options and click Continue

This will change your language and market settings for that PPC campaign. Do this for each campaign that you want to run in the Canadian market and that will get you going. For more information on language and market settings at MSN adCenter, check out MSN adCenter’s help center.
