When you start your PPC campaign, do you have an end goal in mind? You should and you should keep that end in mind throughout the management phase.
The only way to be sure that you will reach your PPC goals is to write them down and think about them every day. Know what the desired end should be and you can stay focused on attaining that goal. If you just wing it every day through your PPC management campaign then there’s a high degree of chance that you won’t succeed at all.
Let’s say your goal is to drive traffic to one particular landing page. Your goal is to drive 1,000 visitors that page in one month. Is that an attainable goal? If not, then it isn’t worth pursuing. If so, then you want to do everything you can within your power to attain it. But if you lose track of the goal then you can’t reach it. Plain and simple.
When managing your PPC campaign, some of the things that you will need to pay attention to in order to maintain eyesight on the goal include:
- The proper keyword research – Know which keywords are profitable
- Proper bidding strategies – Should you raise or lower your bid?
- How many ads to run – Do you need to target specific ads to specific keywords?
- Search engines – Every PPC company and search engine is different; do you need more than one, or are you at the right one in the first place?
When it comes to PPC management, there’s no substitute for having a goal and sticking to it. Begin with the end in mind.
