The Google AdWords Ad Diagnostic Tool

Google AdWords has a great tool that allows you to check on whether your ads are appearing for certain searches. It’s called “Ads Diagnostic Tool.” To get there, you sign into your account and click on the “Tools” tab in the green bar under the “Campaign Management” tab. You have two options when it comes to using this tool.
No. 1, you can define certain search terms and parameters. If you have several ads running at the same time that should appear for the same search term then this option can prove to be useful. Type in the phrase that you want to check for and be sure to add brackets or parentheses where appropriate because it does cue in on match types. After typing in your keyword phrase, choose the domain that you want to search on. Be specific about what vertical you are asking about or if you are only searching for a specific country’s search engine. You can also choose your language and tell where you are located, though those are not really important for search.
The second option you have for finding out whether your ads are properly optimized is the URL search. For instance, if you are a member of the content network and you are concerned that a certain URL isn’t showing your ads then you can search that URL to see if your ads are being shown there.
The Ad Diagnostic Tool is a useful tool to ensure that your ads are showing where you want them to for your pay per click campaign. I hope it helps.
