Have You Checked Your Yahoo! Content Network Campaigns Lately?

From Amber at PPC Hero:

My recommendation, if you’re running a Yahoo search marketing pay per click advertising campaign, check your content network stats for the past few weeks, if you see an increase in clicks and spend with no conversions I would ask Yahoo to investigate your account as well.

You should check you PPC campaigns every day no matter which pay per click provider you are using. I look at this way: You are spending money. And every minute you go without checking on your money you are essentially giving complete control over it to your PPC provider. That doesn’t mean you should keep your eyes glued to your ads every minute of the day. It does mean that you should check on it frequently so you can stay on top of activity in your account.

That said, any time a search engine or pay per click advertising network makes changes to its system then you should keep a closer eye on your activity. It’s just common sense. Don’t get lulled into false security. In this case, Amber caught it quickly and hopefull, if this happens to you, you will too.

Definitely check you Yahoo content network performance often. In our experience it has a tendency to underperform when compared to search and other provider networks.
